Jo Coleman, CMT

Therapeutic bodywork, from deep tissue to craniosacral, shaped around what your body needs today.

Jo Coleman, laughing over her shoulder on a forest trail, in a knit beanie and a mustard hoodie.

Jo Coleman is a licensed massage therapist who graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2016. After moving to the Santa Cruz area, she became certified to practice in California and has kept following her passion for helping people through therapeutic bodywork.

Trained in Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, modern cupping therapy and craniosacral therapy, Jo shapes each massage around her patients’ goals, needs and preferences.

A therapeutic experience that not only relieves pain, but supports long-term wellness, balance and body awareness.

Jo’s goal for every session

Her holistic approach emphasizes myofascial release in harmony with nervous system regulation. She has been at Aptos Chiropractic since 2023, treating everything from chronic pain and injury recovery to stress-induced tension and trauma-related holding patterns.

Off the clock

Outside the office, Jo loves to surf and play at the beach with her husband and daughter, and to write and perform original indie folk rock.

What Jo brings to the table

Six ways to let go.

Every session is built around you; these are the tools she draws on.

  • Swedish massage

Long, flowing strokes to relax the whole body.

  • Deep tissue

Slower, deeper work for muscle tension that’s settled in.

  • Trigger point therapy

Focused pressure on the knots that send pain elsewhere.

  • Sports massage

For training, recovery and getting back out there.

  • Modern cupping

Gentle suction to lift and release tight tissue.

  • Craniosacral therapy

A very light touch aimed at calming the nervous system.
